Organizational capacity

Currently 71 staffs recruited in different position. Monthly payroll tax is paid to the government.

The organization has bread making machine shoe making machines & swing machine  donated by individual donors, some of the feeding program beneficiaries are identified and trained to able to get their own income generation activities by making bread ,cookies, shoe & tailor to the communities.

Washing machines is provided  for income generation activities  for some  of the feeding program beneficiaries   donated  by diasporas

The organization has  received school premises from the government in Kality area recently ,which will be the second branch of babul keyer & exclusively used, for elderly care center, for training of computer, Arabic Language , Short courses for income generation like sewing machine, shoe making techniques & and other short term trainings based on the market demand.

babul keyer has received 15,000 sq. Meter of land in Oromia region , Olon Komi city  50 KM away  from Addis Ababa. We have prepared Detail plan with the budget for the construction of School & elderly care home. In addition construction of different facilities of income generation business is included in the plan to be used for sustainable income for the beneficiaries.

Some of the achievements so far

1.      Babul keyer is  of feeding  2000 direct beneficiaries of  people & 3000 indirect  twice daily without interruption for the last  three  years regardless of age ,beliefs & sex

2.      The origination able to fund the project from voluntary individual Ethiopians living here & abroad.

3.      2000 direct beneficiaries   & 3000 indirect beneficiaries secured their daily meal.

4.      2000 direct beneficiaries   & 3000 indirect beneficiaries  able to get  their sanitation materials need regularly (twice per month) for the project period

5.      Conducted  free sewing training for 80  beneficiaries

6.       our organization was visited by Dr. Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed, The then minister for the Revenue ad the current mayor Of Addis Ababa W/ro Adanch Ababe,The current minister of Transportation W/ro Dagmawit Moges, The current vice Mayor of Addis Ababa, Ato Jantilal Abay & other ministers & distinguished guests  has paid visit to our organization

7.      Professional designing training for young ladies ,youths &  other community groups & provided seed money  to start their own sustainable  income generation activities .

8.      Babul  keyer conducted  a big campaign that headed to wollo & Tigrai displaced citizens ,the campaign focused on providing  food packages for 120 households that included Shiro flour ,palin flour, Teff, Suger beso ,dates & hand sanitizer

9.      Provided cultural dress (habaesh kemis) for more than 80 women for 2014 new year

10.   Facilitate medication of eyes for 400 beneficiaries with support of specialist doctors from Yekatit Hospital. 

11.   For 1200 beneficiaries new saving bank account is opened & birr 1000.00 has been deposited for each with the help of Islamic relief.

12.   Sanitation materials are distributed for some defense force women’s.

13.   Capacity Building training has been conducted  with the  Cooperation of  ILO  for 75 returnees & seed money is deposited for each of them to start their own business

14.   Provided 500 people home to home cares & covered their medical expenses.

15.   Renovated 26 houses of the beneficiaries

16.   Distributed Aduhiya meat for 3000 beneficiaries with cooperation of Islamic relief Ethiopia & individual donors for the last three years.

17.    Distributed meat for 1000 none Muslims for their Easter holidays.

18.   IFTAR program for the whole month of Ramadan has been conducted in the last three years for 2000 direct & 3000 indirect beneficiaries.

19.   Distributed clothes for 12000 beneficiaries with the help of government & individual donors.

20.   126 packs of blood submitted to blood bank ( Collected from Members & supporters of babul keyer)

21.   Medication expense is covered for 100 elders

22.   House rent is covered for 50 elders.

23.   In cooperation with the government 20 of our beneficiaries is able to get government house.

24.   The organization has been participated in the green legacy program.
